i have heard alot about the ls/vtec conversion in g2 teg(DA's) and i was wondering what exactly is the increase in h.p? i have a 93 LS and i really don't want to do an engine swap so how do i get more h.p. out of the engine. i saw a post about the goldeneagle conversion kit but exactly what does this do? i am going to start building my teg as a project car this summer and was just wondering where to start. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

well u got to think about it. a regular b18b is about 140-110-115whp vs a b18c1 thats 170 or the jdm 180 and is about 150 to the wheel.

pretty much the b18b is the b18c1 without Vtec so i think u can do the math. u'll pick up about 40ish hp

 

i would not recommend it...

 

after doing a search and finding info. on g2ic.com and hondatech i think i will try another method of getting more h.p. out of my LS. i could use the money and get my bike before the summer which is what i wanted in the first place.

 

turbo it ;P i have a 93 and just did a ls/vtec and i love it, but thats just me. i got a ls head for sale ported and polished and valve job <wink wink> lol
