Default What Intake Is Great for B18B1 Non-Vtec Motors?

Hey, I was wondering what intake would be great for us Non-Vtec owners, and does the Mugen Intake or ARC fit Non-Vtec motors?

i've heard Js racing intake is pretty good, same with Comptech.

I have the new AEM V2 and just waiting to hit the dyno with it.

Basically any ebay pipe with a good filter will work the same as a high priced intake.

By the time you spent alot of money on header intake exhaust you could almost have a complete turbo kit. C/A/I Header/exhaust for good ones between 1000to 1500. For 35 max more horse power or turbo kits are going for that price on ebay all day and your looking at a base of 80 more horse even at low boost. boost with your cash you will be much happier.

do a pull iwthout the intake and then do the next run with the intake and tell us how much of a difference the v2 made because im relaly interested in buying one for the ls and then getting the c5 swap later on and still being able to reuse the v2.

Yeah I'm thinking of Going Turbo but if I do I want a Greddy kit only nothing major, but as far as this post goes I just want to know what intake would be best or share your experiences with what you ran on your B18B1, by the way I know a GReddy Turbo kit cost about $2500-3000. I don't wanna go custom. Anyways back to the subject on intakes. Thanks for the input though.

You can get a basic greedy kit without intercooler for 1600 with e-manage but besides the turbo I ran a k&n generationII FIPK and to be honest I really did feel a differance from the stock and the sound from under the hood at high rev was real deep and mean sounding. I really like it alot on my car.

Ebay! do a search type in (integra turbo kits) you will even find complete kits with crank shaft pulley and new cam gears with every thing you need except missing link and fmu and fuel pump for around 1400. That is a complete kit just do the search .

Wrong!! Injen intakes are also made in America. IIRC, they're office is located in Southern California.

Also, how is the Injen intake "hella" better than an AEM or Ebay knockoff intake?? They're all just metal pipes with filters.

Anyone notice that any time people post a question like this, saying they're on a budget and need some advice on where to spend those few bucks they've got, half the people who respond just say, "Hey, boost it!"? If us broke *** ***** had money, we'd do it, but otherwise either answer the question or SAVE IT.

pick up a 3 inch drier hose at home depot for 8 bucks then get electrical tape for 2 bucks and use 1of ur moms or sister pantyhose for a filter, **** man! no joke this works but u got to wrap the drier hose in electrical tape beacuse it'll rip it, but trust me u will feel the diff. u can bend the **** anyway u want to and strech it if u want it all the way to the floor and pick it up when it rains, u cant go wrong with this.

1000 to 15000 turbo kits price on ebay all day ? wheres is it at show it to everyone.. i dont think they have it there all day..

by the way if u want gud intake heres a gud sample but price is kinda steep.. http://passwordjdm.com/product...D=866

but like everyone say bolt ons on b18b are just waist of time and money, if u really lookin for real power go boost ur b18b its kinda expensive its worth it.. but its all up to u if wuts ur future goal; bolts ons, turbo, all motor, stock, or supercharge...

Id think a shorter, fatter intake would compliment the LS powerband better. A longer narrower (2.5) intake would allow a lower biased power band, while a fat (3'') short ram would allow better upper RPM resonance and sort of shift the power band higher. Will this make a huge difference? Nope. Will you notice it? Probably not. But its worth a shot since the LS tends to fall on its face in the higher regions of the rev range.
