Will my Vtec Engage?
I have a 97 civic HX with cai, headers, full magnaflow exuast.... im not trying to race at all... the civic just needs more power....
My plan.....
Swapping a 98 Civic EX head and swapping a 98 Civic EX ECU....
Is this all i need for the Vtec to engage...the head and ECU ..... im hearing things like the vtec solenoid? Is this a succesful swap... i dont need a new Throttle body, intake manifold...i wasnt told i would but id like more info on this....thank you
Also would a P&P for 200$ be neccessary to my ex head.. it has 20k miles on it i was told...would it be worht the money to P&P a d16 head....After this head swap im done with performance mods keep that in mind, i would like to get some audio equipment finally.

by doin the head swap it would be considered a Mini-Me swap..if u get a complete head with IM dizzy, ect... then u wouldnt need a new IM or TB...the EX head should already come wit the vtec solenoid so u would just need to run it to the ecu and maybe some other wires too..

correct. Just need the vtec signal (green) wired to a4, ground wire (black) and blue for the oil pres (i think that's what it is) to i think d6. If you have an oil jet you'll have to remove that too or it wont engage.
