just so you know

8000k isnt an upgrade its a downgrade anything over 4300k is just color difference, theres less light output

anything over 4300k they are not as bright, they dont produce as much light, they are just a different color

the ones that come oem with your headlights are 4300k and are perfect

true! i know its not realy an upgrade.but i just wanted a differant look to them.i know the light output is like half of what stock jdm puts out but its all gizzy.its not like im gonna be in a 24 hr race.even then, the GT500 racers run 6 and 8000k.but i know what your saying.i might take it back to stock if i dont like them.we'll see.

Just an FYI, your going to need a hood latch and hood latch cable from a 90-93 integra. I just wish someone would have told me that when I was doing my conversion, makes things go smoothly.

If you go to a junk yard, a lot cheaper than $30, I would think, but I went to the acura dealer. Since I was putting on an OEM metal front, I wanted everything to look nice and be new, so it cost me ~$100, I believe it was something like $74 for the latch and $25 for the latch cable. At least I don't have to worry about the latch or latch cable being rusty, sticking, or just not working.

I also agree OEM JDM will be better than aftermarket. Everything is very crisp and clear.

I have a question, when it comes to attaching a JDM type-R front end, most of the work is bolt on? Is there any real custom work that has to be done outside the paint? Do you have to blend or weld or anything like that?

You have to weld the Radiator Support, other than that, everything is bolt on. You are gonna have to tweek the fenders/hood/headlights/bumper support/bumper, to all fit just right and to line up, but other than that, no custom work. Blend, yes, if you want the paint to match.

I've had the pleasure to see a few and ive never really thought that its something you can sit and do in your garage, as far as bolting things down and lining them up, damn, maybe its time for me to get a teg and do it up...

Just so you know, your 99 LS is a DC4, not a DC2.

You can do it in a garage. If you can turn a wrench and have someone to weld the support for you then you're in good shape. Just follow the guide by Mase. You will have to tweak the fenders and hood, but that's all minor stuff.

i once saw a guy, who had a 94-97 accord, and what he did was acquire the type R front end, and bolted that ****** up and did some customization, and made his accord coupe into an integra type R front end, it was nice.
