Default airbag eliminator tray

I have a '95 DX h/b with dual airbag dash. I have seen the airbag eliminator tray on the JDM DC2. Does anyone have info if the tray would fit w/o any modifications?

It will not fit without modification.

When someone removes the airbag for weight reduction purposes, it leaves a big ugly hole in the dash. Honda makes lightweight plastic trays to fill these holes in 94-01 Integra's and 96-00 Civic's, however one is not offered for the 92-95 Civic.

i know that the dc2(integra) air bag delete tray will fit on your 92-95 civic with minor modification.

Yah if you buy one from an EK, then you can make it fit. You have to cut away parts of the dash to make it fit nice. They're cool and all, but way more of a pain in the *** than it's worth. I had one on my hatch cuz my airbags went off in a wreck and it was alright. But it didn't look as clean as the airbag.

Default airbag eliminator tray

Thanks for the info... The reason for this is I'm going to install a Sparco quick release hub & wheel. It wouldn't be fair for the passenger to have an airbag (lol).....

So I guess it would be best to modify the dash to fit the EK tray. Any suggestions on where to get a good price for one?

Just buy a 92-93 dash. There's your airbag eliminator.

If I buy another dash w/o passenger airbag, wouldn't that make the SRS light go on?

why would the srs go off if u change the dash.. itll prolly go off if you unplug that airbag which you will have to do anyways if you put the tray in

why bother with the tray? just remove the bag, and take the cover off, then reinstall the cover in the dash. i would show you pic, but...umm.... it looks stock

I agree, reinstalling the cover would probably be a cleaner look then putting a tray in. Then you don't have to cut the dash too, which is always a plus for re sale. I noticed you can't really set anything in the tray either, it always would slide a round when taking corners. The passenger side airbag weighs in at about 15lbs. It was a lot heavier than I thought it would be.

All that would show is the tray, there would not be anything underneath it.
I removed mine and had a stereo shop make me a gauge pod there. I'll post better pics if you want.
