Default Ep3 engine question

I need two simple answers, Can you swap a rsx-s head on the ep3 ( 2002 ) to get the real v-tec? Understanding you need more than the head, itb ecu, etc. Does it work? And, Has anyone been known to swap the 6 speed for the Si's 5-speed? I think my ep3 is badass, except for, imo, a week tranny. And if in fact the six speed can be swapped, what issues came up? I am not really sure how the shifter connects to the tranny, seeing as how i was used to a crx! So any answers or comments would be exciting and great. Thanks

Why don't you get the whole unit swap including the tranny, or better yet get a DC5 R swap.

Since you're doing all USDM. With the money you would spend on parts and labor just trade your Si for a rsx-s. Now you will have climate control

Not really true. You can find a complete type S motor for as low as 2700, read up or get a couple knowledgable buddies and swap yourself for less than 4k.

Yes and Yes,

check out ephatch.com and search, couple people with head swaps, motor and 6-speed swaps, soon to have some TSX swaps too. Good luck!

02Silver on K-Series.com just did the full swap. Motor/Trans was 4100 shipped and he did the work.
