How to check to see if injectors are working properly??
Hey all,
Where can I take my injectors to have them tested?? Approx. cost to do so?? Let's assume I am not talking about a Prelude too.
I am asking in general.....any car.
I am having a major bogging issue and the injectors are next on my list to check. Also, I am not able to start my car now after I ran a tank of injector cleaner. The car floods in startup.
Thanks,
Andy

You need a noid light . You unplug the connector from the injector and plug the noid light into the connector, crank the engine, if the light flashes that means your connector and wiring all the way back to the ecu is good. All injectors are are normaly closed soleniods. They have 2 wires, 1 is constant power, the other is a ground from the ecu to tell the injector to open and pressurized fuel flows into the combustion chamber. hope that helps.

You can send them in to get cleaned, flow tested, and get the spray pattern checked. Cost me 50 dollars to get 4 done, with results. Turnover about a week. Good stuff, run a search for specific places that can do it.
