Default Teg? Accord?

I read the rules, i hope this is ok.

Hey guys, ive mostly stuck to the accord forums, but the thing is i dont have one, yet atleast. Ive been searching for one the past few months now, and havent found the right one. They all have been expensive, or have had problems, etc.

The thing is that my dads friend has a integra for sale. Not sure if its an LS or GSR yet. She(friend), along with her bf, say that its a great car. I think its a 94, and that its in great condition. I think their selling it for $3500. Stick, if that matters.

My question is, should i take this? Or go back to looking for accords?

The reason i post here is because i really have no clue about tegs, and i just wanna find out what engines/ different parts i could put into it. I know about I/H/E etc. I just basically wanna know what motor is the most common? Its a B series right? As you have read, i really dont know what im talking about.

Anyways, any input would be great.

Thanks.

The integra's have 100 times more potential than an accord. Better gas mileage, torgue/horsepower/weight ratios, and a lot more fun to drive+ youl probably "pick up more chicks"

Now, any questions you have will probable basic. So, my advice is search, read, and get informed. The HT search is great, use it. Dont start a thread about "do integra's have B-series?" or you will get flamed to hell. So search

Good luck, and my opinion, stick away from the accord... your grandmother would look more suitable in it.

how many miles? find out if its an ls or gsr. what kind of shape is the body in? rust? if you could take some pics, that would be great. personally, i would go with the integra, but i am slightly biased

Heh, thanks guys. Yea, ill search, and also research a lot more on tegs. Im leaning to the teg right now. I just talked to my dad, and he said it has vtec. From what ive found online, i think that would make it a GSR? Not completely sure though.

About miles, my dad says its in the 170s.

Edit: Oh yea, and about the body. I think its in pretty good condition, ill try and find out a little more.

i've had a 93 accord and a 97 accord before. i now have a 94 gsr. my fav out of those 3 is the gsr. even if the teg you're getting isnt a gsr, i think id still prefer the teg over the accord. if the one you're looking at is a gsr, then defiantly get it!!

Edit: oh yeah, its a gsr then! get it!

I've owned 6 integras, a crx, and an accord.........I hated the accord
go with the teg, you won't regret it (for all the reasons people already stated and more)
besides you can always get a midsize family car (accord) later......when you have a family of your own or something

Haha, thanks for the input/info guys.

I want to go with the teg now. Ill get some more details on it, and look into it.

Btw, one other question. What is the most common swap into a GSR?

Thanks.

Head work... port polish, springs, retainers, cams, intake manifold/throttle body. These vtec engines respond pretty well to head work. Then some fuel management, more aggresive timing, and lots of tuning.

TEGS ARE JUST INSANELY MORE SEXY THAN ACCORDS!!!(faster too)

edit: except maybe ones that have straight monster-trucked driver side fenders ha ha (i still need to buy a black one in the bay ppl)
