well im using 5w30 right now, i just installed the turbo a week ago. after searching, it was pointed out a couple times that 5w30 is no good for turbo. some people said 10w30 gtx, mobile 1, ammsoil.

but id like to get more feedback on this.. thanks

phuhhh ... just regural 10w-30 for like $1.15/bottle

I go with Mobil 1 10w-40 because I live in GA = hot . Mine is like $1.18/bottle just do oil change every 3k miles and you're ok ... As I'm thinking at the moment, you can go more that 3k miles .. depends on your engine

Honestly, if I had a new motor, I probably wouldnt run synthetic. I would just run el cheapo fossil oil and change the bitch every 2k for 1/4 the price.

I probably just gave the 2 worst oil advice quotes ever. But hey, I do what works for me

i like to use mobil1 synthetic becuse the turbo gets so hot that some oils cant stand that kind of temps. And i change it every 1500 miles.

thats the best, I know alot of ppl who use it and im going to start using it when my next oil change comes along. Great oil but alittle costly. Also use 10-30 and youll be fine. add some gauges if your worried.

I burned M1 10w30 Syn more than I burn Castrol 5w30. Mobil tends to disappear quickly in my experience. Just food for thought.

180-230F Mobile 1 10-30 Full Synthetic

Synthtic oil don't smoke. So if your engine or turbo has problems, you won't know.

Someone said oil change once a year? Must not be a daily driver...

3k is what you read or what someone tells you, no one reallys know when to change there oil, send your oil to the lab and see how much it breaks down and how much metals wear, one guy on club rsx showed that as he lowered the grade the wear was less and also realized its a money scheme when Honda tells you every 3k.

Myth
