Default Prelude chip

I have a 1997 prelude base. Yesterday me and my friend met with a guy with a 97 gsr with a type R engine swap. They swiched the ECU chip out of the gsr and the guy said it was safe for it to swap. It did make the gsr faster by what felt like about 10 hp. I was thinking about this for my prelude but i dont know if its safe or not. They sell them on Ebay from $20-60. I am worried that im gonna buy one and it will mess up the A/F ratio and put too much fuel in. I like the results of the chips but im not gonna blow my motor or mess up my car because of it. Does anyone have a chip for the prelude or heard of the results? Any comments appreciated.

Get a VAFC and tune it properly.

If its one of the "Chips" off of ebay, it is probably just a resistor that will make your car run unpredicatably lean, which will eventually damage your motor.

ebay chips =

Chips are a waste of money. They add too much timing, add extended revs which don't do ****, and who knows what types of AF ratio's they have.

Search... you'll find all the info you'll need.
