RSR down spring
hey, has anyone had experience or know anything about these springs???
i just picked up a 2000 EL (canadian acura model, same as 4dr civic)
i'm looking at dropping it a bit in the spring
the RS-R down spring will give me a drop of 1.6 in the front and 1.0 in the rear
spring rates are 242 in the front, 168 in the rear... i'm guessing this is a close ratio to stock??? does anyone have and feedback on these... i'm also considering sticking with the stock struts due to a low budget... i might change them later on in the year or early next year...

I'd like to know also ... for EF if possible - 279 lbs/in front and 218 lbs/in rear for my appl.
Was thinking about using these with either the Bilstein HD or touring shocks ... If someone else can chime in with experience with either of these combinations that would be great.
Thanks

I had some RSR down springs on my 99 Civic Si back in the day. They were fine, I would characterize their ride as decent, and it's about a 1.5 inch drop. I was using Tokico Blues at the time, so the ride was kinda soft and forgiving. RSR makes good products, I would say those springs are comparable to Neuspeed/H&R Sport or Eibach Sportlines.
How did they handle? I've got Omnipower sport full coilovers 12k F/10k R and its too rough for my needs but they handle great. I need something that is comfortable yet sporty enough to take some curves on occasion... I heard the Bilsteins are comfortable for everyday driving and will handle a drop.
They handled fine, I didn't have them for that long before I sold my car. I actually liked them better than the Neuspeed Race springs I had on my GSR and my EF. The RSR down with Tokicos was softer than the Tein SS I had, which I think are probably softer than the Omni 12/10 setup. Another great spring to look at is Progress, if you have Konis or Bilsteins, they should handle the drop of the RSR or Progress without a problem.
