missing sound.. rained really bad yesterday ..
I have a vented hood and im sure water can get into the intake if it rains really hard which it did. i parked my car and came out maybe an hour later while it sat.. i started it up.. when i rev it it has a horrible bog sound. i had to drive it home i did at like 30mph in 5gear about 5miles its been parked since yesterday, havent started it yet..
wondering what precautions would u take if this happend to u. ima try to start the car again when i go back home after work.
I was thinking maybe drain the oil and let it sit then refil it but im not sure what else.

Change your oil. Disconnect injector plugs, remove spark plugs and crank engine over a few times to clear out anything that might have been sitting in the intake mani/intake, then put it back together and give it a go?
that sounds good.. im going to try that that is alot of work though for sure... i should star tthe engine with no injectors or oil in it at all. are u sure that is safe.
no injectors= no fuel. No fuel means the engine won't actually run. Turning the crank and cycling the motor will clean out the cylinders.
No, REFILL the oil before you try starting it. I think that goes without saying.
Change your oil/filter, refill it.
Remove the injector harness cover and simply unplug the clips from the injectors, its very simple. And removing the spark plugs takes all of 5 minutes.
Disassembly and reassembly shouldnt take you but an hour and a half at most.
