H22 & H23 Timing Belts
Are the H22 and H23 timing belts the same? The reason I ask is because I put all the H23 tensioner stuff that I need onto my H22 and it fits great but, the timing belt is loose. It seems like it's off a tooth, when in reality it isn't.
I don't think so, it's possible, but the part number for my h22 belt was XXXXX-P13-XXX, the P13 being H22... Sounds like it is motor dependent. Give a dealer a shout!
well, there isn't a way to tension it the wrong way
Loosen the tensioner bolt. Turn the crankshaft until the cam gears turn three teeth. The slack will be taken out of the belt and it will be tight. Tighten the tensioner bolt. Done.
