what u can do if u hit a pothole
I ran over a pothole in Mira Mesa the other day (Also known as Rice City due to the amount of imports there) it damaged my front and rear suspension, the subframe, transaxle, header, bent 2 of my rims, cracked my windshield due to the loose gravel that was picked up by the car in front of me. Little did i know that you could claim that with the city of san diego and get reimbursed for that. you just have to call in and get a claim form. on top of that you have to have the written preliminary estiment with the claim form. then mail it in. it will take about 48 hours to decide if they will award you with the claim. in most cases they will cover for it. so this is just another alternative for you guys to get what ever was damaged to ur car fixed by the city.
i'm pretty sure you need a police report as well & i don't think the offer is void if your car is lowered as long as it passed state inspection..

Key point there. Any little thing that would render your vehicle illegal, and the state could refuse to accept your claim. Just keep that in mind.

Just a Tip, carry a little camera and if you do slam a pot hole take a couple of pics, that way they acnt say it was another place and you just want to claim in that city. Try and get a pic of a street sign or something like that also.

Lol...I live in Mira Mesa (Westview) and I know EXACTLY which pothole you are referring to!
After the rains, they kind of wedged the damn junks of asphalt out. Reagan (sp?) st and Mira Mesa blvd has some of the BIGGEST potholes! HUGE. I'll snap some pics if possible this weekend.
Mira mesa blvd has some giant ones too. Yes, it's ricer heaven. All types of rice. JDM to domestic rice. Gotta love it though.
