H23 piston in H22?
Guestimated 9.6:1 compression. I have seen a turboH22 stock block with H23 pistons making 383WHP. It's has been like that for over a year so far daily driven on pump gas . It's all in the tune
You could do it and it would hold up...... H23a1 9:5:1, H22a 10:6:1
and there both 84mm or 87mm but im pretty shure there 84mm.........but any way yes you could do it.

Damn dude WTF are you on? 84mm? 9.5:1 compression? *shakes head* that's just not right...
Anyway an H22 with H23A1 pistons all else stock will yield 8.95:1CR

Whichever crank you use, you have to use the same rods.
no you shouldn't have to machine the rods for the pistons to work
and long as the rods are a press pin fit design
