B16B2 or B18C1?
If you'd just been offered a spotless B16B for roughly 3200$, would you strike like the Empire, or wait a bit 'n find a decent B18C1? I'm thinkin' both fitment 'n performance-wise here. Obviously there's a difference, but is it worth it? Thanks in advance.
i personally like the b16b for the r/s ratio and power. basically a destroke c5. but if your a torque is everything and i need it junky then get the b18c1.
but that b16b you posted from ebay is nice. hopefully not blown.

Thanks, exactly what I wanted to hear. But I wasn't thinkin' of a ghetto-swap, I was just wondering if the B18 would be more powerful in the end, after your basic NA upgrades. I haven't heard much about the B16B, tbh.
And yeah, turns out Anthony was having a bit of trouble with the buyer after all, so he's thinkin' of sellin' it to me as thanks for helping him out with the scam-session. But nothings for sure, just yet. Fingers crossed, tho'.

well ls/vtec setups can get 240+whp built all motor. and theres not a b16 up there with them. but b16 are more reliable. and the fact you have a b16 with R internals. your already ahead of the pack.

same mods the b16 still produces more power couldnt compare them really.. i sure there are 1.6 haters but personally i would sell the ctr pistons and get some b16, b18c1 pistons. and do a mild turbo setup and thicker/stronger headgasket.
going all motor sell the ctr cams and get some skunk2 stg 2s or bc 3+, mill head, mild bore, bore tb, hytech or sms header and the list could go on.
