ok i have a really weird idle it goes from 1,000 rpms up to 2,500 rpm's then drops back down to 1,000 then back up to 2,500 why????? vaccum leak? intake leak? also for honda's what should i do about porting and polishing i have a machanic that will do it for me i just dont know how big or if it is even good to do for the jdm b16 HELPPPPPPPPPPPP

 

Could be intake gasket leak for sure, also can be throttle body gasket or wrong throttle body... i would check intake gasket..Start car and starter fluid around intake gasket...If it idles up you have a leak... can try around TB too

 

Be sure you have enough antifreeze in the radiator. If its too low, it will cause the car to "surge" like that.
