Rsx-s vs ser spec v
I had your same dilemma 2 years ago. Spec V's are good cars. They perform good. Theres somethin about the styling and the long throws of the shifter that made choose my rsx though.
I'll put it to you like this, I raced a spec V. He had CAI, header, cat-back and some sticky *** tires on 18's. All's I had at the time was SRI, cat-back, springs and some yokos for grip. We were neck and neck 1st, 2nd, and at the end of third I started to pull and by the end of 4th I was about a car on him. The S is a better car but the other guys are right, the tourqe in the V is quite nice!
The Spec V is all right, I have driven both and I like the Type S alot better. It has a more "sporty" feel to it. The Spec V does have some pretty nice torque.....but I think that the RSX is just sexxy. This is coming from someone who owns both a nissan and a honda.....nissan and honda both make good cars.....it's all up to what you feel suits you the best

My friends's type S raced a SER with some bolt-ons(cat exhaust, header, intake) and with some stick stuff. My friend only has a cold air intake and a cat-back exhast. He lost the first time because he miss shifted but he spanked the SER the second time. The Verdict? RSX is the faster car even Stock. He will race my other friend with the 350Z soon, I'm guessing he will be really close. What do you all think? Considering they both about the same skilled drivers and 350 is basically stock.

Maybe, but I gotta see it to believe it. I have alot of faith in the power of HONDA
. But I'll post and let you and the rest here know the results once they raced.

That 350 is gonna own your friends RSX. As for the choice between an RSX or Spec v.I would go with the RSX, it's just an all around better car.

The RSX will be nowhere near the 350. I used to own one....raced my friend with an RSX Type S....he had the basic bolt ons and mine was stock....

Well, I got rid of the 350 b/c I couldn't afford going to school and other bills....It was something I should've thought long and hard about before buying...but it was such a lovely car. I still have my boosted max, and my EJ.

Yeah with just a Cold Air intake and Exhaust he is going to get spanked. Now with a Race Header and Hondata, that Z will be seeing tail lights.

You guys understand that 350Z's can easily run 13's all day long in the 1/4 right? lol, on the street, you wont beat a 350Z even with race header and hondata...maybe at the strip the race would be closer, but on the street, i guess i'll just say good luck...
my brother's ex had/has a spec v and she had a crazy amount of problems with the wheels and tires.
she dented her wheels on potholes weekly, but we blamed it on her for being careless with the crappy stock semi low profile tires and not avoiding anything.
one time she came back with another flat and when we took the wheel off the car to throw the donut on it felt a little funny. when i flipped it over there was a huge crack in the 'offset' area of the wheel and i pulled the rim from the inside of the tire in two pieces. no joke, she broke the wheel in half right at the bead on the outside lip. i still have the outside of the wheel on my back deck.
she was lucky. it could have been much worse.

Well, we wouldn't know until they actually raced but I know for sure the RSX left the S2k in a heart beat.
facts:
S2K runs 14.0
350Z runs 14.3
(according to car and driver mag)
.'. S2K > 350Z
if RSX-S (exhaust + intake + headers + hondata) > S2k
Solution: the above RSX can own the 350Z. (over and over again)
