Default ITR tranny

I want to get a type r tranny for my GSR motor because everyone says its one of the best all motor upgrades. Its a daily driver, and I'm only interested in taking it to the drag strip. Will I need any parts besides the tranny? Will the tranny be too hard on the motor during highway driving? Any other opinions/experience with this setup would be appreciated.

The ITR tranny is a good unit. Has the limited slip differential and closer gear ratios than the GSR.

best thing i ever did to my gsr.
and i have done a lot to my gsr LOL.
better launches, accellerate faster, accellerate better on turns, u turns are fun, if you have a 6 puck clutch it cuts down on chatter, you don't "fall out of vtec'' on the 1-2 shift. it does rev about 300rpms higher than the gsr tranny in 5th gear, but EGHH, nothing to worry about IMO. if you really want, you can put a gsr 5th in a type r tranny.

Awesome, I def want one now. I'm thinking about getting an 8lb flywheel and a CTR N1 crank pulley to put on at the same time.

By the way, I was reading the archives and found that the CTR and ITR tranny are the same. But why is the CTR tranny always about $200 less than the ITR?
