i was wondering if i can get a CA BAR sticker with a JDM sir b16 motor? because i really dont want to pay another 1000 for the USDM sirII just to get it to pass, and does anyone know a site that sells D16a6 swap complete changeover? thanks

 

To pass the b16a sir1 motor in cali You will have to convert to obd1 and get a obd1 ecu and intake manifold..

And nippon-motors.com sells d16a6 motors..

 

I think you need to convert it to obd1 b16II. I remember reading a thread about having to convert everything over like intake manifold, sensors, and etc.

 

yeah i know all about the swap i just want to kjnow ifd i can get a jdm engine to pass

 

A JDM engine that's available in the US can pass
A ZC (the models that aren't available in the US) wont pass, because its not available in the US
Now you say JDM B16 ... well if converted to OBD1.. its becomes a US B16 from a DelSol VTEC in their eyes.

Now go to Rywire.com and purchase your DX/HF/Si OBD0 to OBD1 B16 conversion.
(we have distributors and 4-wire O2's coming in shortly)
