JDM OEM Hid burnt out ... Tried Acura TL Bulb and it wouldnt fit, what else will fit?... I heard that the s2k bulb would fit but i am not sure...
are you sure the bulb is burned out? did you check the fuses? they need to be bumped up to 15 amps instead of 7.5.
which year tl did you use cuz the older tls came wid d2rs and the newer kinds use d2s but they are different generations so niether would work anyway. s2k from 00-03 would work for the jdm hid

It worked for 2 months then flickered and went out... the side that went out always lacked in light output on the road but it was brighter when you were in front of the vehicle looking straight at it.... maybe kind of like a star before it burns out ?

yeah, that's what mine did. i didn't realize what was going on because i didn't know about the fuse situation. i thought it was the bulb going out, then i searched h-t to find out what kind of bulb and how much they were (d2s, i believe...and pricey). someone mentioned in a thread that the fuses need to be upgraded to 15 amps, i switched them, and problem solved. i bet that's all you need to do.

It sounds like you have it aimed slightly higher than the other light. You'll probably get more light on the road if you aim it lower.

Swap the other side's bulb over and see if it's really the bulb. The bulbs have the type of bulb written on the bulb... they should be D2S bulbs.
HIDplanet.com has 2 Phillips D2S bulbs for $75.

Any D2S bulb will work. D2S is a standard bulb fitment just like 9006, so all D2S bulbs fit the same into an HID projector housing.

Never had this problem with my JDM OEM HID on standard fuses. Its good to know that I ran into this thread just in case.
