Default need some help

Ok, i am finally getting some lighter weight 15" rims for my sol. I bought my previous set of heavy *** 17's before I knew any better and I really have no idea how to pick out a right tire. I have been told what the numbers on the tires mean a thousand times, but can never remember. I live in Ohio so I need some decent snow traction for light snow but I also own a toyota 4runner so I can drive that to tackle deeper snow. I currently have 205/40ZR17's and I like the size of them in the wheelwell so I don't want to lose too much overall size. Make some suggestions on tire size, brand, and where online to order. Thanks!

Two sizes you can go with are:
205/50/15
195/55/15
Although, some people go with:
195/50/15

Try and check out Tire Rack and Discount Tire Co.

I'm currently on Yokohama AVS ES100s, and so far, am satisified

so the difference between the 205/50 and the 195/55 is the width of the tire right? do they have the same sidewall size? my rims are 6.5 in. wide by the way. have you had to drive in any snow with your yoko's?
