Has anyone found a decent head unit with at least 1 RCA output that has red lighting on buttons and LCD screen to put in their RSX? I found an Alpine one but it doesn't seem to quite fit what I'm looking for. I know there are a lot that you can change the colors on, but the red seems more pink than anything. I'd prefer it to be black too. Anyone had any luck with this, because I haven't seem to be able to.

I'm not sure if this belongs in appearance/cosmetic or not...it's not really a picture thread. If so, go ahead and move the bastard.

 

i would assume any older sony deck.,.. like the xplode series...those had a red light

 

My Premier Audio (Pioneer) Deh-P360 looks pretty clean. The mounting kit the audio place gave me was hidious though. The fitment wasnt right and the color didnt match. Instead i fabricated my own. My only gripe is that it isnt all red. It mostly lights up green. It has a good mix though of the green, blue, and red. Atfirst it was wierd but i got used to it. I love the deck so who cares.



edit: i should have read the rest of your post first I didnt notice you didnt want this to have pics in it, let alone a black, and not silver, headunit. Ah well, hope this helps in your quest. goodluck bro

 

Yeah I have an extra pioneer head unit as well from my civic that I'm stripping down. I like the head unit but It's old and has been in 4 different cars now, so time to move on. Plus it's mostly green as well. Thanks though

 

Best Buy sells a black/silver/red Sony Xplode headunit right now that has a little door that swings up and down to cover where you put the cd...it has white/red text and buttons...so it would probobly match up pretty well, its by far not the greatest headunit, but it does have 1 set of RCA's and i think you can get it for $129.99. Its a decent radio if the cosmetic matching of the headunit means more to you than the actual sound quality or features.
