Default Fuel Management

For a type-r with just the basic boltons, AEM CAI/DC JDM 4-1/RSR ExMag catback/Testpipe........would I feel much difference between a VAFCI, VAFCII, and Uberdata???? The VAFCI would be about 100 bucks cheaper than the other 2, while the VAFCII and uberdata would be about the same price, all after tuning and install. Which fuel management would be worth my while????

I am already very happy with my boltons as is, just thinking of a fuel management to optimize my mods.

Either AFC will do the trick, however moving up to Uberdata will allow you to fine tune it a step further. It all really comes down to how far you want to take it.

Ok, I've decided to stick with a VAFC b/c it doesn't seem like any of the tuners here are very familiar with it.......I'm just confirming that the 100 bucks is worth saving instead of going with a VAFC2, not to mention the VAFC1 is new and the 2 is used.

The VAFC 2 does allow for a little bit more precise tuning than the VAFC 1 does.

do you think the more precise tuning can be felt on such a mildly modded engine?

Considering the car only really needs attention from about 4000 and up, you can divide up the RPM range up however you would like with the VAFC, but ver.2 has 12 adjustment points, whereas ver.1 has 8. It really depends on how precise you would like to get. Many people use the original AFC's with only 8 points and it works, so I guess if you are on a tight budget get the AFC1.
