$180??? Where did you go? In the San Gabriel Valley, there's a lot of places you can go. Do you already have the coilovers, and you just need installation? Well, install is usually around the neighborhood of $60. There's ViS in Alhambra, D2 in Alhambra, Super VIP in Monterey Park, and a couple others I can't think of right now. There's also a place in Rosemead around Walnut Grove & Valley, but I can't think of the name right now.

Anyways, $180 is waaaay too much for just installation, so don't let them rip you off!

Know any places like that in the northeast? I've check most speedshops and could quote them for you. From $120 to $475. Maybe Cali mechanics know something Northeast mechanics dont.

$60 is just ridiculous. Is that per coilover?

Gennnady, $120 is a very good price for installation of coilovers!

Before I got a job at a Honda dealership I got a quote of $256 from STS Tirehouse to install my eibachs/konis and an alignment.

guess how much i (and many H-T members) paid? only a few scraped knuckles, a couple of beers, and that's it... Accords are incredibly easy to overhaul the springs and shocks... do it yourself, and you'll get to know your car better too...

I already named some of the ones in the San Gabriel area. ViS' # is (626) 573-8383, and they're at 400 E Garvey Ave. in Monterey Park. Super VIP is at 1820 W Valley Blvd. between Atlantic & Fremont, and their # is (626) 282-6071. I don't know the # for D2, but they're in Alhambra, on Main St. & Fremont. If you're looking for a dealer-type place, try Diamond Bar Honda, right at the 60 & 57 freeways. It's a bit further from LA, but they're a dealer so you don't have to worry about reliability, and they're really mod-friendly. Good luck... you should NOT being paying $180 for an installation!

I got my coilovers installed at ROBOCAR in West Covina for $60. It took them about 40 min. I have no complaints about the installation. However the coilovers I got are a different story.

i also do it alot for the experience and to help fellow tuners out, of course I wouldn't do all the work, you have to be willing to be taught how to do things

Acutally, Robocar is out of business now, hehe.

Where exactly are you? The city of LA or the county? If you want to come inland a bit more, Diamond Bar Honda is a good place, too. Since it's a dealer you wouldn't have to worry about realiability, and since they sell a whole bunch of aftermarket stuff themselves, including springs & stuff, they definitely know what they're doing. My only concern is how much they'll charge for installation. But if you want to give them a call, ask for either David or JC and say a friend recommended you to them, and maybe they'll give you a better price... hopefully. Their # is (909) 594-6632, and they're located at 525 Grand Ave. in Diamond Bar. It's right where the 60 & 57 meet.

I got my coilovers installed at ViS in Alhambra, and they did an okay job, it was just too low for my preference, so I just raised it up a couple inches when I got home.

Is there any difference in price for installation of springs/shocks as apposed to coilovers? I might want to try it myself but I need some help from someone who's done it before whos also a little closer than Virginia or Maryland.

Well, at the time my bf was working at ViS (doing their website), so we got the coilovers + installation for like less than $200 total (forgot the exact amount). I doubt they'd give that price to anyone anymore though, hehe.
