I have a Honda CRX

My fan doesnt turn on as often as i think it should. Do you guys know what I should look into changing? or fixing?

 

Are you overheating? a search will bring up very useful info.

 

Nope, I hvent overheated yet. I ran the car hard around the block, then idled it for about 15 mins and the fan never came on. I ran it again, but it didnt come on.

I think a sensor or something is messed. Its been pretty cold in the valley, so I dont think it would overheat in this weather. Probably this summer though.

Anyways, the reason I am concern is because my car didnt pass smog. According to the smog guy, its possible that my fan isnt cooling off the system therefore the high NOx levels due to the high temp combustions

 

that emmissions thing sounds about right. from the sound of it your fan swtich in the block died which seem to happen alot on EFs. Go down to your honda dealer and ask for part # 37760-PM3-003
