does anyone know any website where i can some b series trans gear ratio's... im looking for the b16, ls trans and the gsr trans.. would any one happen to be selling any of these.. NEEDS TO BE CABLE

thats a good one.. if i would change the final in the ls trans.. would that make a big difference.. how would that feel like? alittle longer than gsr trans?

changing to a 4.4 f/d in an LS and you have damn close to the DC2 gsr trans.

if you noticed on the gear ratio charts, the LS and the gsr have identical 1st and 2nd, a different but not that much crazier 3rd in the gsr, gsr has a slightly shorter 4th and both have long 5th's(in honda world). the major difference is the F/D.

thats what im thinking on doing.. just swaping the final.. how hard is this.. is there any write ups?

you have to splitt the case to access the diff. you'll have to press on a new pinion and bolt on a new ring gear. thats about it really, its more complicated than it sounds because you are splitting the trans case.

search HT, theres been a few write ups on it. you can also go get a shop manual that will have instructions on how to disassemble and re-assemble the tranny.

i'm not really sure, i've been researching (comparing parts charts) between hydro trans parts and cable trans parts. i dont have any hydro trans to take apart but i have 3 cable trans to do. if you can find an answer from someone who actually knows and not from someone who has just heard, let me know.
