Default coolant flow

hi everyone
i just put in a 98 type r motor and put in a new radiator. I filled it and am noticing the coolant isn't flowing. the thermostat works, the pump looks good its not seized or anything and i can fill up the motor and literatly "blow" the coolant through the entire system. However say i take off both hoses from the radiator and fill them and the motor the coolant doesn't good anywhere with the motor running it just sits there, Help please.

Did you give the motor time to warm up?

I don't see how your car can stay at normal operating temp if your coolant isn't circulating. Is there a leak anywhere? Motor blowing out white smoke or anything?

Yeah... so you are saying your car warms up to temp (the temp needle raises and holds steady)... then you take off the radiator hose and you don't get sprayed with coolant?

Weird man... the system should pressurize once the engine warms up a bit...
