Default Carbon Fiber Hoods...Which one fits properly?

Hey,
I was looking to get a new cf hood because the one I have is from VIS oem style (double-sided cf hood) and it doesnt fit right. Know of any that fits perfect? Which ones do you guys have? Any pictures would be helpful.
Thanks,
Kev

I don't have hood pins on mine. Oh and I have a 5gen. I don't have a camera to get a good shot of it right now, but it sticks up from the fender about half an inch. It's not flush when you look at it from the side, and you can see the gap when you're facing the car and you look at the edges. [IMG][/IMG]

My VIS reverse inlet hood fits like ***. Well, it's not bad, but not oem...but nothing but oem is oem! haha. Anyway, here's a pic. I think the only real qualm I have is by the driver side headlight. It curves in a bit too soon.

As for the 5th gens, my buddy has a fiber images on his and his fits a bit better. It's a stock looking lood, not inlets, vents etc. Only thing is that his contracts and expands a bit more than mine does when it's hot or cold outside.

This is the one you want, mine is almost a perfect fit. Just had to expand the holes on the hinges to allow it to be moved forward, otherwise it went straight on.

Ignore the colour as mine is the blue weave CK hood.

Wow! That is actually a really good fit compared to most hoods I've seen. Have you noticed a lot of changes with your hood with regards to the weather?

No not really, I now have bonnet pins fitted though but only because I do track days and it is for safety reasons. The bonnet is extremely light and does bounce a bit at high speeds, there was never any sign of it lifting though, the catch is really well fitted.

Here is another pic with the bonnet pins fitted and also shows how it looks a completely different colour when the suns not out.

How can you judge if its crap or not. Your sounding ignorant. My VIS fits pretty damn well, especially since it was 350.

My VIS fits like poo + it looked like someone put a thumprint in the clearcoat while it was drying, and then tried to fill it. I will not buy another.

My only complaint about my VIS is the damn wiper squirter holes. I saw those and was like WTF. My stock squirters don't even fit in them. I will most likely dremel it out.

Or I could go to walmart and get those kewl cobras with the LED eyes.

Cannot complain about the fitment though, and the price was right.

My Fiber Images fits like a glove and it's a 3 year old hood too, clearcoat is faded a little but that can be expected.

I have a 5th gen, I can't tell you how much it was new because I got it used off of a friend for a pretty good deal I would estimate around the $400-500, find their website and shoot them an e-mail I guess.

Nothing will fit properly as they usually use molds of molds to make the hoods. If you're local to the location get whatever that is local as long as they give you some kind of fitment guarantee. If it HAS to fit I think Kaminari is the only choice.

You'll never get a perfect fit from a c/f hood, if you get pretty close your lucky.

If you install the hood pins, is it expected to have a more tight fit?

Ya which, carbon fx, fiber image, seibon, gtp (don't want to do business with them, not nice to deal with), or carbon creations?
