Check your brake fluid.

Yeah, the e-brake light and low-brake-fluid light are one and the same. You're likely low on brake fluid.

If fluid level is ok then replace the brake fluid resovoir cap, the sensor tends to go bad.

If brake fluid level is low, check the pads. The fluid is going somewhere and it's either low pads (which may need to be replaced) or a leaking master/slave cylinder.

Most likely it's the res. cap or low fluid caused by nearly dead brake pads.

before you replace it you might want to take the cap off, clean the sensor, then put it back in the fluid and the best i can explain it, wiggle it around in there before putting the cap back on. This fixed my problem

It's possible the sensor is starting to act up and is on it's way out.

I have the exact same problem. My fluid level is right between the Min and Max lines. The light only stays on tho wen its really cold out and i noticed that it goes off in about 5 mins of driving, more or less depending on how cold it is. When its above 35 degrees or so it doesnt stay on at all. Can someone go into more detail about cleaning off the resevoir cap because that may be my problem.

Mine would come on under acceleration with the same level of fluid. Just top it off.

Mine would stay on whenever it was really cold. It would eventually go away after a few minutes of driving. But it just stopped doing that.

Hmm.. I dont know the coefficient of expansion for brake fluid, but this could be an explanation.

When the brake fluid heats up, it expands causing the level to be higher in the reservoir. So at very cold temperatures, the fluid is low enough to cause the brake light to go on.. once it heats up its at a high enough level that it goes off.

Just a thought.

Mine does the same thing but only when its a little cold outside. At first I thought the ebrake cable just needed to be adjusted but I would tend to think it would stay on if that was the case.
