Default type-s pistons in H23?

alright I was going to put an h22 head on my h23..but someone told me that I should just get the type-s pistons and not put the v-tec head on...I was told, bore the head out 1mm, and they should fit right onto the rods and everything..and give me a **** ton of horse, better than with just the v-tec head....what are your guy's thoghts on this??

Why not do type-s pistons and a vtec head. I would go max with j spec pistons if your going to leave it as a str8 H23.

Do both, VTEC head and Pistons. Type S pistons come in STD or OS. Get the OS, a machinist will have to bore it out .025, which is a little bit more than a 1/2 mm (if I did the conversion right in my head ). With the Type S pistons in your block it will be over 11:1 compression.

im building an h22, i have type s pistons std size, and my sleaves were just honed, you have to have your rods re bushed for the floating wrist pins that the type s pistons use, your bore is the same so you dont have to do anything to the head, i would also have your crank polished and balanced and have your rods and pistons balanced with new ring and rod bolts
