my b16a1 motor runs very strong, i have steady good compressiona, but my LMAs make the most annoying awful sounds when I'm not in vtec

Since I plan on camming later this year, is there anything I need to worry about if I keep the bad LMAs for 6 months or so? Like I said, I'm not keeping the same cams, and I'll replace the LMAs when I re-build my valvetrain, but I don't want any sort of piston damage or something
