What's the difference? (Tire Size Question)
I'm getting ready to buy some 14' tires and currently I have 185/60 tires. What would be the difference between those and 175/65? From the FAQ I read the tire width will be smaller but the sidewall will be taller. But is there less tread and buldge? The rims are 14 x 6
Thanks

They're only a few millimeters taller. Not quite 1% difference for your speedometer. Probably not enough difference to worry about rubbing.
Why do you want to go narrower? Are they winter tires? (That would be a good reason.)
Check out tirerack.com for rim-width that's allowed for each type/size of tire. I didn't look it up for you, but that might be kinda narrow for a 6" wide rim.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html for overall diameter comparisons (you'll need Java).
