Default Piston?

Can you guys give me some estimates on how much you paid to get pistons installed? I'm thinking about getting some oversized JDM ITR's put in my GSR block that has over 100K on it.

to do a Proper job, you should take the block out.
Do the following:
1. Bore, hone, deck, the block to match the spec needed for that piston to fit properly.

2. Micropolish the crank

3. Measure for new bearings and thrust washers

4. Install new Oil pump

5. New bottom end gasket set

6. and final assembly

IT would run you about $1300-1600 with the pistons and all the new parts.

You will also need a new timing belt, head gasket and if you want, a new timing belt tensioner.

Anything less would be half assed.

Well I just replaced the TB, WP, and head gasket in the summer so I dont have to worry about that. But is that estimate counting the labor involved in a shop taking the block out? I don't have the time or proper tools to be removing the motor myself.

You should replace the Head Gasket every time you pull the head out.
that doesnt include the removing and installing the engine in and out of the car.
