Default Trying to find oem pistons for d15b vtec, any suggestions?

I am rebuilding a d15b vtec and have hit a snag. The cylinders are pretty much shot and need to be bored. I'm going to be needing some pistons for this thing. Has anyone had any luck in getting OEM pistons for this engine? Thanks for your time.

they are z6 pistons, if you want stock size ones (which you prolly don't) you could buy my friends jdm d15b pistons.

i thought the d15b block uses the vx pistion since its a 1.5 block with a more aggressive head.

that's incorrect. the vx pistons have a huge dish creating low compression. also note, that a jdm d15b cr is 9.6:1 to a d16z6 9.2:1.

If you want to add a little extra compression and power try using some pistons from the dx,cx,ls models. they have flat top and will yield in the mid 10.x:1 for cr ( you could go higher if you used a 2 layer gasket )

I had never heard that they were Z6's. It was my understanding that they were some unique item as they were stamped p08 and I couldn't find anything that matched completely.

p08 are z6 pistons.

not all cx pistons will go in (I think or was it HF) some cx (or hf) don't have 4 valve reliefs.
