Default Suggested spring rates for my 400whp+ ITR.

I am going to order some Ground Control coilovers for my 97 ITR which already has Koni Yellows on all 4 corners. I need your opinions on what rates I should run if the car is driven 85% on the street, and 15% at the track. I want something to handle the power nicely, but still give me a somewhat comfy ride. Thanks for any help.

I assume you are talking about drag racing at the track? If so then I suggest going with a heavier spring rates in the rear so that the weight will stay in the front when you launch. Maybe you can run 500 lbs in the rear. It really depends what shocks you are going to purchase. If you get the koni yellow, they can handle up to 550 lbs, otherwise most other shocks can only handle up to 400 lbs.

i could be a dick and tell u to use the search but im not honestly if ur more worried about riding comfortably then a aggressive spring rate is not for you. unless your willing to ride around bumping around in your car and getting shaken up a bit.anywhere from 900lbs.-1100lbs. spring rate in the rear would set you straight for the track. in the front if your using anything bigger then a 25" slick and ur worried about possibly slicing into a slick when hitting ur breaks going thru the traps then i would do a slightly aggressive spring rate in the front something like a 500 lbs. spring rate. hope that helps. but like i said if ur more worried about a comfort a regular spring rate that ground control puts out for their coilovers should be just fine. if that doesnt help at the track then i suggest a set of traction bars. hope that helps u out!
