ok, I got an SI transmission. BUT it has a 21 spline input (88). BUT I can use my 89 DX Axles.

The origonal trans in that car has gone bad. and the clutch from it wont fit this trans. the DX Trans is a 20 spline.

From what I understand, the 89 axles, DX and SI. CANT fit in a 88 trans.

I know its a SI trans because of the stamp on the casing. BUT it seems as though someone put a 88 input spline in a 89+ trans.

Is that possible? Ive never herd of someone doing that.

 

88-91 DX and Si axles are all the same
