painting dash
You mean your whole dash, or just parts of it? If you mean the whole dash, then I'd just take it some place and have it done. If you mean just the vents and around the gauges, then buy some high temp. paint and a clear coat. Use about 3 layers of each..
i've done this myself, it took about a week n a half... take out the dash or anything else you want to paint, use 300+ grit sandpaper and thoughrouly sand everything (this wont diminish the texture), spray two coats of primer with about 10 min in between each one, the wait at least 24 hrs to dry, the apply 3 coats of paint w/ 10 min in between each coat, and let dry at least 36 hrs, then spray 3 of clear coat n let dry at least a day or two... i cannot find the link right now, but there is a company that makes paint for this purpose... the bottles run for about $40/ea... check w/you local custom auto body/interior shop to see what they use DONOT use the cheap $4/can paint from like wal-mart or somethin... use paint for this purpose only
we did a white/light blue combo (my n my friend) n after 6 months of florida sun the paint is intact good luck
