Default SPOON SW388 question

I have a set of SW388 rims
I cracked the lip on one. Its a small crack and it doesn't leak but I was wondering if I could get it welded back together????
If so what are the spoons made of? and how would I go about it?

if they WERE made of magnesium..welding it would cause big fire...i think. the fire will burn REALLY bright too. enough to cause eye damage..go to a store and buy magnesium strips and take tongs and hold it above a fire and watch it.

SW388's are a forged aluminum alloy. They could be repaired depending on the extent/type of damage. Look up the local wheel repair place(s) in your area and see what they can do for you.

Your SW388's flat black color, as you may know, is actually an anodized finish. So you should point that out to the repairer, to make sure they can get the finish back to original. Anodization is different than painting/powerdercoating most wheel places are used to...
