Gas Door wont close HELP
Last nite when i went to get gas in the lovely state of wisconsin I reached down to pull the lever to my fuel door and it was stuck.
I pulled a little harder and the door popped open. but the little black tab that moves w/ the lever never came back out and also i had to push the fuel door lever back down it didnt go back by itself like normal.
So now the lever moves up and down but the black tab is still in the hole just not comming back out..
any suggestions on how to get this thing closed or did i break something?
thanks for any help

same thing happened to me a few times, but only because it was really cold, so i think that black tab was frozen, it closed back in when it got a little warmer, i also sprayed some rust chek around it
the hair dryer seemed to be a quick fix for now
since it closed.
so i am assuming that there is water in there and froze..
but I still have to push the gas door handle back down is there a spring or somethng that fell out or is it still due to the cold
