Hondata or Spoon intake manifold gasket?
i want to ask which one is better the spoon Ventuli Plate or the hondata intake manifold gasket is there any difference in hp gains? which one will be better?
I'm not sure. Hondata was the one I used, and seemed to work ok... Although I thought at first that your thread was asking the difference between the ECU and the Spoon IM gasket..
on me.
on me.
ANR
For $35 shipped, I thought it was a great purchase. Drive your car around and then try touching your IM prior to install. After you install it, you'll be able to grab and hold onto the IM without burning a layer of epidermis off.

A friend has the Hondata IM gasket, he likes it and it apears to keep the IM cool. Not sure how effective it is in the power department, but for $50 est it seems like a good upgrade.
I would just get the Hondata intake manifold gasket. The Spoon ventuli plate was designed specifically for the B16A engine. When installed on a B18C, the gains are minimal at a mere 2hp average and only in the mid-range.

Complete setup for a spacer/heat block for the IM the TB and the IACV. Comes with gaskets for each piece and extended studs. I was very pleased with it.

The Spoon intake manifold gasket is designed to be used only on B16's, not B18's.
It's NOT the same as the other intake manifold gaskets which are the same as stock, save for the material of which they are comprised.

yeah what about the passwordJDM one. I came across that also and was thinking of getting that over the hondata. Anyone try it?

It is also designed to alter the airflow, which most people do not realize.

hey i just got a email from them the other day and wanted to you let you guys know that they told me the PasswordJDM and the Hondata intake manifold gaskets are made of the same thing and are manufactured by the same company. So yes they are the same thing at a cheaper price. Hope that helps.
