Finally, My Car Actually Seems to be Working...Kind Of...
Well, it's been an interesting month or so. First my roommate backs in to the car. Then the alignment is all off after the repairs. Finally we find out it's due to my right front tire loosing air constantly. That is finally fixed, and now the toe just needs to be readjusted.
Then I had the whole brakes situation. New pads and SS lines installed, seemed fine for about a week and then the stupid, worthless shims that came on the Hawk pads started to come off. So I went and took them off, re-bled the brakes just for fun and it was still a little soft.
Took the car up to Sedona for the weekend and someone scratched it up while backing out. Brakes seemed to work well on the nice downhill windy roads. Then, last night, brakes were all mushy. This worried me a lot so I went for a test drive this morning and...
nice and firm
The car now stops great. Brake pedal is nice and firm and the brakes are very responsive.
So basically all that's left is to get the alignment re-done (i think they originally did it with GSR alignment specs so the toe is probably off cause me to keep the wheel tilted right to go straight) and then to the track to test the durability of the pads.
