question regarding cats: epa and carb approved ones for smog
I am emitting high NOx levels, and I am looking forward to fixing the cat, o2 sensor, and fuel filter. (sea foaming ??? should i?)
My question is regarding the Catalytic Coverter.
Is there a difference for HF models and other due to the engine size?
I am looking at http://www.ecatalyticconverter....html and according to them, they have a specific one for hf models.
Any ideas, and help is welcomed. Perhaps suggestions to online sites that might be a reliable source for purchaasing one is too.
Thanks all

the stock CRX cat doesn't clean NOx (i think this is called 2-stage). get another car (i guess this is 3-stage) like magnaflow. worked for me. keep in mind though that there are other things you shd check when dealing with emissions
The reason the HF one is different is because it's kind of a part of the exhaust manifold, instead of being after it.

You need to weld the universal cat but you only need to bolt the direct fit cat. I'm planning to clean my stock HF cat then weld another one between the exhaust.

I need to have the stock cat (it’s bad already), so it could connect to the exhaust pipe and I also need the new universal cat to pass my smog.
