Depends...how is the fitiment? Any pics. I got my cf hood from BodykitsNW for $300 brand new plus shipping. Fitiment is decent and the quality of the weave is really good.

Mine is a Seibon hood. Probably took me about 2.5 hours to install it (had to mess with the fenders to line everything up), but the fitment is beautiful and the weave looks great. I haven't had it long enough to see how it would act on a long term basis, but so far I have not had any problems with it and the hood is light but surprisingly stable at about 70-80 mph. I havent' gone to the track yet to see how it would do at 100+ MPH, but I don't beleive I will need hood pins like a fiber images hood.

its really hard to decide..some people said VIS is good F-I is good...but u never know..since CF hood are hand made. u could get nice one or crappy one..who knows. but lots of people got VIS, and they look alright..not perfect..iam thinking about that too..oh also heard that VIS has nice cf wave looking than Fiber Image one.

edit: FI is lighter than VIS
no matter what cf hood u get, get some hood lock or pin..just in case who knows.

Fiber images hoods usually have great fitment. Make sure it says Fiber Images on the outside of the hood. It should be written between where the wiper fluid pissers are....
Thats a really goods deal on that hood...

Yeah too bad they don't make them for the U.S. front end.

Ive seen both on friends cars and the Fiber Images one looked and fit alot better than the VIS plus the F.I hood is a little lighter.

I have seen both good and bad weaves and fitment from both VIS and Fiber Images.

It seems as though that it comes down to the luck of the draw when it comes to cf hoods.

can't go wrong with a F-I hood. I remember when they were like the first people to run over their hoods and drop wheels on them to prove how tough they were. I've seen a couple FI hoods, and they have the best fitment over-all compared to other brands. VIS Grade A hoods have also received a lot of praise around here, but I've only seen one in person. Fitment was good, but not great.

All in due time my friend all in due time. I guess it would be a little easier if I spent my money on bodywork instead of a Spoon cluster. I just think of my dents as a theft deterrent.

Thought I'd cross reference these two threads together since they both happen to be on the same page right now. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1175973 This is regards the the ever elusive Mugen hood.

My FI hood oxidized. I tried buffing it with the marine polish that everybody recommends but it still came back.

i have the ViS and it fits good/nice even weave(despite my front end damage and needing to gerry-rig/push out the rad. support with washers )although i would have to agree, opie said it best..if you can look at the hood first and decide great..otherwise..pay and pray
