BUSTED STRUTS??
First off i have a 98 GS-R with 152k miles and i'm riding on ground control with stock struts. My drop is about 2.5 inch's from stock. I bought brand new ES100 tires a few months back and now my front driver tire has some minor lumps on the inside threads. I run my fingers through them and can feel that there's some lumps. Can this be my struts being busted? If so, i dont see no visual signs of a busted strut nor can feel anything wrong with my ride in terms of bounciness. Any thoughts appreciated.
Did you get an alignment after you changed the ride height? If your toe is significantly out of spec, your tires will show uneven tire wear, cupping, etc. If you did get an alignment and set the toe to spec, then it's possible your tires were not properly inflated, or shocks are blown, among other things.
probably nothing to do with the struts, and really the toe like purplegsr said, are the inside of the tires bald? they could be about to blow.. i know with my old tires after i did a huge burnout with them they had some pretty big bumps from where the belts seperated (i had new wheels / tires, and they were on their way out) have you actually looked at the tires? or just felt them? if they aren't bald and have full tread than forget what i said i guess
I did get my car aligned after the drop...the toe's are in spec and the tires still have tons of thread but i can feel some minor "cupping" like what the previous user mentioned.
As long as I dont have to take out any more Metal Gears

yes that kind of wear can have something to do with the struts. Check around the strut rod and case for oil. If u see any thats a sure sign that its busted. The absolute way to tell it to take it completely apart
