B16a CRX starter problem
Ok....I got everything on my 1st gen B16 swap ready to go and went to fire it up...all I heard was the starter just spinning...at least thats what it sounds like...like its not touching the flywheel...sound like a jet engine starting up lol...but before I go buy a new starter, could there be something else that would cause this?...Thanks guys

that's not going to work. jump starting is for when the battery is dead, thus the starter does not receive any power. obviously, his starter is getting power.
sounds like your starter solenoid. give it a few taps with hammer and see if that helps.

NO ANY OTHER HONDA STARTER WON'T MATCH BOLT PATTERN UNLESS IT IS FOR B-SEREIS TRANNY (CABLE OR HYDRO) /B20, LS, GSR, TYPE R, YOUR STARTER SELINOID SOUNDS LIKE ITS NOT PUSHING THE STARTER GEAR OUT TO THE FLYWHEEL OR YOUR FLYWHEEL IS MISSING TEETH ON IT. THEREFORE NOT MESHING AT ALL ,NO CONTACT.

Well after looking at it some more today...the starter doesn't seem to sit flush when bolted up right...so I guess I'll go try and find a new starter today....Thanks for the help guys
