Well after 5 years of having the R in Texas I had no problems with anyone trying to steal it that I know of.....
soooo almost 3 weeks of living in Colorado I had my car broken into. They were going straight for the car as they left my cd's and sunglasses right where I left them. I guess they were scared off.
The only damage I can tell so far is broken trim panals covering the steering column and the ecu.
This was in the Westminster/Broomfield area by highway 36/boulder turnpike.
From what I can tell they pulled the window back and cut my power wire to my alarm siren.
Hahaha he/they left one of the trim panels on top of one of my USED targets that I left in the car when I went shooting a few weeks ago.
oh well. This has been a public service announcement.

yeah I know, I have the damn part #'s too but just never messed with it. Guess I'll look into it now cause that is how they got in.

2000, yeah I sure did. I was parked in a big parking lot of a place, out drinking with the guys from work, right up in front of the place too. lights in the parking lot, crowded, people coming and going. He/they had *****. I'm wondering if the friend that called me to let me know what happened was the one to scare him/them off since he was parked next to me.
The place was across the street from my work, so I was probably scouted......

well thanks for the thought, but so far I don't think anything is wrong with the ecu. They just busted the trim panel that covers the ecu. And the one that covers the lower part of the steering column.

I'm following you!
absolutely anytime!
this wed. will make it 3 weeks that I have been here. How about this strange white stuff on the ground??? I need to go sharpen my ice skates eh.
I've been hearing of a "group" that have been stealing cars in Jefferson County. Particularly in the malls. I think it is the same people.

wow, you're really lucky. they were going for your car, obvioiusly. (based on them trying to swap out the ECU.) time for multi-layering & two-way alarm + other nifty stuff.
