Default civic ecu auto in 5 spd

Okay my gf ecu is messed. I have an auto ecu from a 97 ex . her car is 96 ex 5 spd. Will the auto ecu work in the 5spd for a couple of days so i can pas smog?

no, the engine light will be on becuase of the lack of automatic transmission and you will fail. not to mention the actual chip inside the ECU dosent match the car and you will fail on that also.
