Hey folks, i just raced my EK for the first time last nite. its also my first FWD car! Well ive got an LS motor, with bolt ons. I wanted to know if this is a decent time? I ran a 15.2 at 89.8mph, and my 60ft was 2.34. is this a shitty time for a LS swap? Or am i doing it right? If im not, got any pointers? When i launch, i take it to 3500rpm, and slip it, if i brake traction i let off, and tap it again.
ps. this is a huge difference compared to my WRX!

that is actually not bad.....i'm assuming you were running street tires with that 2.3 60 ft. If you bring your 60fts down, maybe some weight reduction you'll definetly be in the 14's. I ran a 14.9 @ 92 mph ( at sea level) in my ls powered coupe but this was with nitto drags and a 2.0 60ft

sweet, thanks guys. I couldnt compare it to anyone here in montgomery, because no one has this same setup, or anything close to it. Ive got 15" capitol negotiators on it now, whats a good tire you recommend to get my 60fts a little lower, hopefully a 2.1 or so. thanks

If you think Azenis is bad, try 5K or less from a set og BFG's. 555R's aren't bad for the thread life.

I might end up doing that, but if thats the case, i could buy something a little stickier

i'd have to say its pretty good.. i had a LS in my eg about two years ago with pr3 pistons, aem civic cold air intake, dc sports 4-2-1 two piece header, no cat and greddy pe exhaust, clutchmasters flywheel / clutch.. and was running 14.8 @ 94 with a ~2.3/2 60 ft. the car was making 138 hp to the wheels and 124 tq.
I had a 91 hatch w/ LS motor and just bolt ons too. I ran 14.42@96mph back in 2000. Just keep on practicing. When I did a head and and stock block w/ 22in. slicks I ran 13.1@100mph. IM me if you wanna talk.
what were your 60 foot's like? i wish i could have gotten my LS into low 14's with the stock VTEC swaps.. oh well.. maybe some other time. you were running the slicks right?
your trap speed is about on par with your et..........like everyone else has said, work on your 60' times. even without stepping up to a drag radial or something like that, i'd say there is room for improvment.
keep it up man

I was on street tires on the 14.42@96mph. The next month I used 20in. slicks and ran 14.00. ALL DAY. Couldnt break into the 13's.
