Default Silverstar, 4100k, 8000k HID comparison (pix inside)56K eat my xenons

jetta has cheap *** silverstars from pepboys, the Z has stock 4100k HIDs, and the lude has Taiwanese 8000K ebay HIDS, notice the difference between glare on the Z and the lude.

Daytime shots.

-Well I got it for very cheap, $175 shipped but they go for $250 now

-here's what it looks like http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...36476

-installation was pretty straight forward, there are 10mm threaded holes right under each headlight one near the powersteering reservoir, and one next to the intake hole, I used 10mm bolts to hold down the big ballasts there, and zip tied the ignitoitors somewhere, I"ll try to take some pics of the install. (I did have to bend the clips that hold the bulb in the headlight a little to keep the bulbs nice and snugg , but other than that it was a piece of cake) I just wired the ballast directly into the headlight connectors, red goes to red, black goes to black, no relays, has been working perfectly for over 6 months.

the glare is there, but it's really not that noticeable, I adjusted the headlights so that they are a tad bit lower than stock, I sat in my friends car and drove by to see how bad the glare was, and it looks even better than those X5s with projectors.

wow those silverstars look terrible. I've seen plenty of silverstars and they dont look that bad. Well I guess next to hids they do. this is a pic of my car with the cheaper cool blues and the silver stars are much brighter than these
